  • Meeka is a beautiful German Shepherd x Kelpie who is 5 years old. (DOB: 17/3/2013). She has just had her cruciate ligament repair and is on the road to recovery. She will still needs her exercise moderated for some months which just means gentle walks on lead rather than free runs. She walks amazingly on lead and is very responsive. She also has Synovan injections to help. These would be given approximately three monthly.

Meeka has lived in Foster with a large male dog and multiple cats. She is dog social and finds the cats very interesting so probably would be best in a home without cats or with a dog savvy cat. Meeka is crate trained and loves her crate, which is wonderful as she has had to be in it for her recovery.

She loves children and is extremely gentle with them. She likes to be with you and is a very good girl inside as long as she has a nice bed to lay on. She learns very quickly what is required and is eager to please.

  • Our gorgeous Suki is a big sooky affectionate girl who loves being close to you, sitting at your feet and getting a big cuddle.

Suki is house trained and loves to curl up in her bed or see what you are cooking in the kitchen.

She is happy to do her own thing in the back yard and is ok with full time workers but you will be greeted with a happy dance everyday you come home.

She has previously lived with full timer workers although we’ve found since she has been with us that she isn’t coping too well with that and would do best with someone who’s home more often than not.

She loves food! Carrots, apples, blueberries being amoungst her favourites (maybe she is part horse?!)

Suki loves people and cuddles. She is good with kids and doesn’t jump up, or knock them over when she runs around however she isn’t a small dog so when excited she may accidently knock little ones over.

She is a pleasant girl, doesn’t destroy anything or dig.

Suki and her foster mum are currently working on her walking manners with a head halti as she can be quite strong and distracted when walking. She is doing well with positive reinforcement training.

Suki is relearning her doggy interaction manners and can be a bit overwhelming for other dogs so will need more work on this. She has made a small fluffy doggy friend and enjoys their walks together, so with a calm dog who isn’t put off by her excitement and the right introduction she will do well.

We believe Suki would make a fantastic family dog with someone who is happy to work on her little quirks.

  • Hi I’m Sam,

I’m looking for some lovely humans that will love me for who I am for the later part of my life. I want to feel safe and secure with some good food, short walks, the odd belly rub and lots of trips in the car. I’m a 9 year old Akita x, sterilized, wormed, de-flea’d, microchipped and vaccinated.

I’m a well behaved boy and know my basic commands.I’m currently living with a super chilled canine foster sister but my foster Mum thinks I would be better as an only dog so I can have my favourite humans all to myself! I haven’t lived with cats before.

I walk really well on the lead. I enjoy shorter walks as I’m a mature guy but I still love a bit of a play. My foster parents say I try to talk to them when they return from work as I love to see them back. I love to know you’re in the same room with me but I also love my sleep and I happily sleep all day if you are at work. I’m well house trained and would be suitable for someone who works outside the home.

I take a little time to get to know you, just talk to me and I will come over for a cuddle when I feel you will be my forever humans. I don’t really like dogs that run up to me to say hello, I prefer when they are behaved and I can sniff them from behind when we are all on lead and them I will happily walk with them. Did I mention I love the car? I love it sooo much, I will go anywhere with you in the car, anytime! I have been quite itchy but my foster Mum has had me on a good healthy diet and my itching has really reduced! I still chew my feet sometimes and she always tries to distract me.

I’m just looking for that perfect person who will love me, take me on easy walks, feed me well and let me live the rest of my life knowing I am truly loved.

  • Scooby is an 8yr old German Shorthaired Pointer x who is the best side kick you could ever ask for. He’s great with his doggy mates, in fact he is pretty lost without one so ideally he’s looking for a home that already has a dog. He is good with kids and he has lived with cats although he has been known to chase them at times.

Scooby is the quintessential love bug who wants nothing more than to assist his humans in whatever they’re doing, the gardening, the dishes, washing the car, whatever you need this trusty side kick is up for it.

Being a “grown up dog” now around the home he is chilled and relaxed but when he’s out at the dog park he’s the coolest kid on the block and enjoys meeting new friends for a play or a game of chasey so with this boy you get the best of both worlds.

  • Minnie is a delicate princess, who will make it known when she wants attention! Needs a lot of love, and loves to be picked up to admire the view, will happily be cradled like a baby and be oh so calm! She’s very curious and a fast learner (like learning how to sneak through the gate to steal the cats biscuits!) but a little timid to new people, especially men, and will take some gentle warming up to.

Due to puppies age, they will be adopted on a puppy contract requiring sterilisation on a set date by a HAART nominated vet. This is included in her adoption fee.
