  • Hello, my name is Larry & I’m going to be a large mixed breed. My mum was a medium sized staffy mix and I’m not sure who my dad is but I think he might be a big dog, possibly a mastiff or a boxer, as I’m a big boy too!

I’m currently in foster care with my litter mate, Edd, and another dog and cat. I also share the house with 2 young children. My foster Mum says I’m very gentle with the small humans.

I’m not that interested in the cat, she likes to hiss at me so I keep my distance from her.

My favourite game is stealing your shoes and “sharing” my toddler friends garden bucket. I also enjoy snuggling at your feet while you watch tv.

My foster mum says I need a dedicated family who will keep up with my training and take me for fun walks where I can meet and play with other dogs.

  • Beautiful Leah is a very affectionate girl who has had a rough past and needs a calm, home where she can learn to trust people again. She is affectionate but can get a little jumpy when she’s a bit nervous, but she is learning quickly.

She is dog social, however she doesn’t like any female competition with the boys so she’d be best suited to a male doggy friend. Leah is also not suited to living with cats.

Everyone who meets Leah falls in love with her loyal, loving ways.

If you think you have a home that can help Leah trust and learn, and have 6ft secure fences, then please contact us to meet her.

  • Sam is the perfect sized guy to make your furr family complete! He is an 9 year old Cattle dog/Akita x, sterilised, wormed, de flea’d and vaccinated. Sam knows his basic commands, he loves his food and this can be used to get his attention and continue his training and social skills. He is currently living with a slightly larger female who is pretty chilled, he would need another relaxed dog like this to help him settle and feel part of the family, or he would be great as an only dog.

Sam walks really well on the lead, relaxed and by your side, he runs a bit in the park on longer lead (hasn’t been off lead yet) but he prefers to walk than run, he is a mature gentleman after all! Sam can react when on lead if dogs come running over to him and start sniffing him from behind but once you start walking with other dogs (including strangers) he is fine. Sam has some cataracts in both eyes and this could be why he reacts to dogs running up to him. Sam likes to chew toys, and bones.

Sam loves to say good morning to everyone and get a belly rub in the mornings. Sam has taken several weeks for his personality and confidence to come out and now that it has we realise he really is an affectionate boy that loves to have his humans around, it just takes him a little time to get to know you. Sam is not a fan of having his paws touched or lifted, he will let you know gently if you try to do this, he is used to having eye cream and ear cream in though and lets you do this willingly. As Sam is an older man that loves to sleep quite a bit he would suit older children that let him snooze when he wishes, or would suit a full time worker. Sam has not been tested with cats. Sam’s favourite thing is going in the car, he gets quite excited but sits in the back waiting to see what adventures you have in store for him.

Sam is just looking for that perfect person or persons who will love him, take him on easy walks, feed him well and let him live the rest of his life knowing he is truly loved.

  • Meet Candy our big eared ‘bat’ girl. Candy can be a little shy when first meeting her. But with time and patience she will throw her heart and trust at you after a couple of weeks.

She is very affectionate and will position her body into all kinds of shapes just to snuggle up to you. She will even sneakily crawl up onto the bed for a quick cuddle.

Candy loves to eat carrots. She will play with the carrot before she eats it. She also enjoys playing with her toys and will bring them to you if you ask her. Her favourite game is playing fetch.

She also loves going for walks and runs. Her foster mum is currently taking Candy out for about 20-30mins per day and she seems happy and content with that.

Candy is very smart and learnt to ‘shake’ within 10mins. Candy can sit and stay and has very good dog manners. She is very good when you leave her home alone and is toilet trained. She will need 6ft fencing as she can jump quite high.

Candy is good with other dogs with the proper introduction. She is very lead-reactive and will need someone who is willing to work with her to overcome that. She is not good with cats.

Candy has lived with small children before and she was very gentle with them.

Like a lot dogs Candy hates having baths and getting her nails clipped. But with some bribing of treats she can be won over.

If you think you have the patience for Candy and can handle the love and trust you will get in return, please complete our on-line adoption form. The link can be found in the ‘Adoption Details’ section.

  • Bear is such a sweet dog who loves his humans and all the pats and love they can give him. Anyone who meets him can’t help to fall in love with him.

Bear is good with children and would suit a home with primary school aged children and up. Bear is currently living with cats that he gets along well with.

Bear would prefer to share his home with a similiar sized or larger calm, more submissive female dog or as an only dog.

Bear love love loves food and gets so excited when it’s dinner time that he spins around in circles which makes training him all the more easier. He also enjoys a good game of tug with his rope toys and loves to chase a ball however still hasn’t quite gotten that he needs to drop/let go of the ball for it to be thrown again. Bear is also house trained and will let you know when he wants to go outside even if it’s just for a big drink of water.

Bear is leash reactive and would require a home equipped to deal with this which would ideally also include behavioural training with him.
