  • Beautiful Leah is a very affectionate girl who has had a rough past and needs a calm, home where she can learn to trust people again. She is affectionate but can get a little jumpy when she’s a bit nervous, but she is learning quickly.

She is dog social, however she doesn’t like any female competition with the boys so she’d be best suited to a male doggy friend. Leah is also not suited to living with cats.

Everyone who meets Leah falls in love with her loyal, loving ways.

If you think you have a home that can help Leah trust and learn, and have 6ft secure fences, then please contact us to meet her.

  • Bear is such a sweet dog who loves his humans and all the pats and love they can give him. Anyone who meets him can’t help to fall in love with him.

Bear is good with children and would suit a home with primary school aged children and up. Bear is currently living with cats that he gets along well with.

Bear would prefer to share his home with a similiar sized or larger calm, more submissive female dog or as an only dog.

Bear love love loves food and gets so excited when it’s dinner time that he spins around in circles which makes training him all the more easier. He also enjoys a good game of tug with his rope toys and loves to chase a ball however still hasn’t quite gotten that he needs to drop/let go of the ball for it to be thrown again. Bear is also house trained and will let you know when he wants to go outside even if it’s just for a big drink of water.

Bear is leash reactive and would require a home equipped to deal with this which would ideally also include behavioural training with him.

  • Meet Candy our big eared ‘bat’ girl. Candy can be a little shy when first meeting her. But with time and patience she will throw her heart and trust at you after a couple of weeks.

She is very affectionate and will position her body into all kinds of shapes just to snuggle up to you. She will even sneakily crawl up onto the bed for a quick cuddle.

Candy loves to eat carrots. She will play with the carrot before she eats it. She also enjoys playing with her toys and will bring them to you if you ask her. Her favourite game is playing fetch.

She also loves going for walks and runs. Her foster mum is currently taking Candy out for about 20-30mins per day and she seems happy and content with that.

Candy is very smart and learnt to ‘shake’ within 10mins. Candy can sit and stay and has very good dog manners. She is very good when you leave her home alone and is toilet trained. She will need 6ft fencing as she can jump quite high.

Candy is good with other dogs with the proper introduction. She is very lead-reactive and will need someone who is willing to work with her to overcome that. She is not good with cats.

Candy has lived with small children before and she was very gentle with them.

Like a lot dogs Candy hates having baths and getting her nails clipped. But with some bribing of treats she can be won over.

If you think you have the patience for Candy and can handle the love and trust you will get in return, please complete our on-line adoption form. The link can be found in the ‘Adoption Details’ section.

  • NEEDING FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME

Carlos is currently in our kennels and we would love to get him into a foster home or his very own forever home.

He is an absolutely stunning black , short coat boy with gorgeous white points on his toes.

He loves everyone and is a giant love muffin. He’s tall and gangly so probably best with primary school ages kids as he can forget his size.

Carlos is social pending meet. He has had play dates with a male German Shepherd at the kennels and they both had a ball.

    Carlos is not cat social.

Carlos walks well with a Halti and he knows basis commands. He will be a fast learner as he just wants to please you.

This boy is one big love bug and anyone who meets will fall in love. He has so much love to give!

If you’d like to meet Carlos please email us dogs@haart.org.au

  • Sam is a stunning 10 year old Heeler x Akita who is very well behaved and knows his basic commands.

Sam would suit a home with older kids and that isn’t too busy so he can enjoy his retirement years.

He is social with dogs similar sized or larger. Or he would be fine as an only dog.

Sam has not been cat tested.
