Benefits of Rehoming at HAART

There are many reasons to choose and rehome a dog from HAART. Here are just a few…

Not all rescue dogs have behaviour issues

Many of the animals arrive at the Home through no fault of their own, often as a result of the owner moving abroad, a baby on the horizon or a relationship breaking up.

All of our animals receive a detailed behaviour and temperament assessment

Our behaviourists are highly experienced and knowledgeable about specific breed traits, giving new owners complete peace of mind.

How much does it cost?

Our rehoming fee is $550 for all dogs over the age of 6 months and puppies under 6 months are $650.  All prices listed on our website are subject to change.

The cost includes microchipping, initial vaccinations, flea and worming treatment and sterilisation.

We are here for you

Our aim is to match you and your existing pets with a perfect companion using our computer ‘matching system’ and the experience of our expert rehomers. We recognise that everyone’s situation is different.

Every rehomed dog has a full veterinary check

This includes worming, flea treatment and vaccinations. All animals rehomed from HAART are neutered (or will be required to attend a HAART Approved Vet when old enough).  We strongly suggest taking out insurance for your new dog.  A list of insurance companies can be found here.

We have many breed dogs as well as cross breeds. From Chihuahas to Great Danes, we have dogs of all shapes and sizes.

You can teach an old dog new tricks

In fact, we spend a lot of time training the dogs in our care.

HAART provides you with around 30 years of COMBINED experience

Plus you receive ongoing support including advice from our Rehoming Team for any pet problems.

You are giving a needy dog a second chance

Giving a home to a rescue dog is one of the most rewarding experiences a person can have, so rehome a dog from HAART.

Pet ownership is great fun!
